From Fossheim you have easy access to great hikes suitable for all ages.

• Lauvlitjernet and Lille Moste – a beautiful nearby hike starting just a few hundred meters from the cabin. The trail leads through forest terrain to the idyllic Lauvlitjernet, continues to Lille Moste, and can be extended all the way to Snørvillen for those seeking a longer mountain hike.

• Snørvillen (995 m) – a rewarding day hike with panoramic views of the area. Can be started directly from Fossheim or combined with the Lauvlitjernet route.

• Ljøsheim and Hygga Mountain Café – a pleasant hike where you can finish with a meal or coffee at Hygga fjellkro.

• Round trip around Store Ljøsvatnet – an easy and family-friendly hike in beautiful mountain surroundings, with great picnic spots along the way.

The Mesnali and Sjusjøen area has plenty of marked trails, making it easy to find both short evening walks and full-day excursions.
